About the community

eComCademy is a free, non-profit community where merchants, business owners and practitioners share what they have learned from running and growing real businesses in digital commerce and AI, and where anyone can read, ask questions and contribute.

01

A place to learn from people doing the work

Technology moves faster than any team can follow. AI agents, automation and new platforms arrive every month, and the people who have to decide what to adopt rarely have time to test it all. The eComCademy community exists so merchants, business owners and practitioners can share what they have learned in real work: what grew a business, what failed, and the detail that usually stays inside companies.

What you will find here

Knowledge shaped by real businesses, real decisions and real results.

  • How businesses became successful, told by the people who built them
  • What works, what does not, and the trade-offs behind each decision
  • Practical detail you can apply the same week
  • Clear thinking on what to adopt, what to skip and why

Open to everyone: merchants and business owners, managers and operators, practitioners and specialists.

Built for depth

We start one level deeper, with the questions teams actually face:

  • When should a process use an AI agent and when traditional automation?
  • How do the shop, ERP, CRM and AI tools exchange data safely?
  • What breaks first when you connect more systems?
  • Which metrics actually show whether a change worked?

02

Industry insights: what businesses learned the hard way

eComCademy collects the lessons that rarely get published: the biggest failures, costly mistakes and what owners of large businesses have learned along the way. Merchants and business owners share them in their own words, so others can avoid the same mistakes.

Biggest failures

What went wrong, why it happened and what it cost.

Mistakes to avoid

Decisions owners and managers would make differently today.

How businesses grew

What actually drove growth, told by the people who built the business.

What works and what does not

Honest views on tools, suppliers and approaches after real use.

These stories are shared through the podcast, guides and community discussions. Have a lesson worth passing on? Share your story.

Mission and vision

Mission

Support businesses, business owners and everyone who works in them by sharing practical knowledge openly and free of charge, so people can learn from each other, avoid known mistakes and grow.

Vision

A strong global community of merchants, business owners and practitioners, where shared experience makes building a successful business easier for everyone who is starting out or struggling.

What guides us

Support over isolation

Nobody should have to solve the same problem alone when someone else already has.

Experience, including failures

What went wrong teaches as much as what went right, so both are shared.

The whole business

Strategy, operations, technology and customers work as one connected system.

Practical over hype

Tested guidance and honest judgment, including when something is not worth doing.

Who started eComCademy

eComCademy was founded by three practitioners who help businesses grow every day. Between them they have seen what works and what does not across strategy, operations and technology. They started eComCademy to share that experience openly and to give other business owners and practitioners a place to do the same.
